Born in 1951 in Neuilly-sur-Seine (France), he studied Sociology and Cinemaat Paris VIII University.
He conceived and directed two short fiction movies :
Passi Ovattati, 12 mn colour
Peau Pierres, 8 mn n&b
and three Art movies :
F.X. Messerschmidt, 12 mn in 35 mm colour (1992). Festivals of Lausanne, Montréal, Cannes (Cinéma de France), Beaubourg biennale.

Then he set up a film production company (Duo Films) with the filmmaker Abderrahmane Sissako.Presently, he lives partly in Paris, partly in Mexico and shares his activity between Cinema and Painting.
